It doesn’t matter if your liquid dispenser is an integral part of your business or personal projects. It’s crucial that you uphold proper maintenance of your unit. Not only will it prolong the functionality of your system, but it’ll also save you from costly repairs and messy trial and errors. Have little to no idea of how to take care of your liquid dispenser? Consider the following upkeep tips.

  1. Make a habit of checking your liquid dispensing system’s water trap and filter.

Not sure where these parts are located? Check your manual. Once you’ve found them, ensure they’re not compromised in any way (e.g., clogged, in bad condition, ill-fitting, etc.). It is recommended that you do a quick once-over ideally after every use.

  1. Always clean the nozzle tip after use.

Here’s the thing. When the unit dispenses fluids, substances usually gather at the tip of the nozzle. Don’t let this deposit go out of hand. Otherwise, it can interfere with the volume, integrity, and consistency of your liquids. Wipe the nozzle tip after every use to prevent this from happening. If you want a more intensive clean-up, consider securing unit cleaning services from your provider.

  1. Does your unit require air to function? Use clean, dry compressed air.

Moist air is not ideal for liquid dispensing units as it can interfere with the curing and releasing process. It can also damage your system.

  1. Changing the dispensing pressure? Follow the proper procedure.

Gradually lower the dispensing pressure below your target level. Give it a minute or two to adjust then raise it to your desired range. This is the usual procedure for pressure changes. Your unit may have specific instructions, however. So, don’t forget to consult it. Also…

  1. Don’t change your dispensing pressure while in use.

As mentioned in the previous point, you need to give your liquid dispensing unit time to adjust. So, lay off your dispense valve. Implementing a sudden pressure change will not only mess up the properties of your liquid. It will also damage your unit.

  1. When in doubt, consult your dispensing system’s manual.

Don’t start fiddling dials and pressing buttons at random. Don’t try to detach any seemingly malfunctioning components either. Consult your dispensing system’s manual. If you can’t find the answers you need in there, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your provider.

  1. Ensure that the room in which your dispensing system is located is always well ventilated. This is usually the recommended condition for most liquid dispensing units.

Follow these maintenance tips to keep your dispensing system in top condition. But, don’t confine your upkeep efforts to these practices. Remember, liquid dispensing units, particularly those that are designed for a special function, also have specific maintenance instructions. These are usually detailed in the manual.

Do you want to take it a step further and develop an intensive upkeep process for your dispensing system? Get in touch with your provider. They will be more than happy to assist you!
